古くから赤色には「魔除け」の意味があるとされている上、墨を吐いて敵から逃げる姿も「苦難を煙に巻く」と捉えられ縁起が良いとされる。
The colar of red has been believed to dispell evil spirits for a long time. Moreover, octopuses are regarded as a lucky animal for the way they scape from a prey by spreading black ink to make them disapper from the face of a danger. 'tako' (= octopus) is often written as 多幸 (= full of hapiness)
